SIM2 takes Home Cinema to a higher level
After the success of the HT300 projector series, SIM2 realized the need to apply the projectors’ technology to a display device that can be utilized in a variety of rooms while fulfilling the need of the home theatre enthusiast.
The market is demanding a self-contained product which features innovative exterior design and installation flexibility while maintaining the stunning picture the HT300 series produces. With this concept in mind, SIM2 Multimedia has designed the Grand Cinema RTX line: a revolutionary concept where image quality, technology and design are combined.
The Grand Cinema RTX’s elegant cabinet (available in different colours) is immediately recognisable: A fancy crystal front, a reduced depth of 14,5” (approx. 37 cm), sophisticated shapes, and prestigious material make it a true masterpiece by the award winning designer - Giorgio Revoldini. But within the cabinet is where the heart of the system lies. Through your eyes and emotion you will be left breathless every time you watch your Grand Cinema RTX.
It is with the Grand Cinema RTX that SIM2’s cutting-edge design and technology shines: technology that, once again, raises the standards of home cinema.
The Grand Cinema RTX line, available in two models (45” and 55” diagonal screens – 16:9 image format), is based on the HD-2 Digital Micromirror Device by Texas Instruments, boasting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels for true high definition capability. The RTX line features three custom-made components (SIM2 patent rights): first, a high resolution projection lens for reduced cabinet depth; second, a specific Fresnel lens to match the DMD chip; and, third, an improved and sealed light engine for super-high contrast (1800:1) and black level.
A single optic fibre cable (3,5 mm - 0,14” diameter) coupled with a system of three laser beams allows you to connect your Grand Cinema RTX to the wide choice of inputs on the DigiOptic™ Image Processor without compromising the quality of the signal. In fact, you may place your VCR, DVD or Set Top Box up to 500 m (1600 ft) away.
The Grand Cinema RTX features a built-in deinterlacer and video enhancement (DCDi™) powered by Faroudja applies motion adaptive deinterlacing that prevents the introduction of motion artifacts and jagged edges from video signals that originated from video cameras.
As with all products in the Grand Cinema line, consumers can keep the RTX as up-to-date as possible. The RS232 port in the RTX’s DigiOptic™ Image Processor affords enthusiasts the ability to easily download the latest control software.
