ULTRANERO 4S

The platform, expanded
High light output is the easy part of the specification and the hard part of the engineering. Brightness is simple to claim and difficult to keep clean. The engineering challenge is not producing 7,000 lumen: it is delivering them without sacrificing black level, contrast, color consistency, uniformity or long-term stability.
High performance single-engine platform
The UltraNero platform was built around that problem. Over 95% brightness uniformity across the screen. An optical architecture using ceramic components to hold precision and color consistency over time. Image processing and HDR management developed by SIM2 to shape the available light rather than simply deliver it. Acoustic control that keeps operating noise below 30 dB. The UltraNero 4S takes that platform and extends it in the two places where a high-output projector is hardest to master: the control of contrast, and the freedom to put the projector where the room allows.

Excellent colorimetry
The brightness of UltraNero 4S is absolutely outstanding: up to 7,000 lumen.
COntrast
Brightness without contrast is just light. The UltraNero 4S carries refined DynamicBlack and ExtremeBlack management, now stored separately for SDR and HDR, so the adaptive behavior is optimized for each rather than compromised between the two. ExtremeBlack is active on every input, not on a selection of them. Two SIM2 display modes, SIM2-1 and SIM2-2, arrive with SIM2 colorimetry applied out of the box, so the calibrated starting point is already there before the first measurement. The HDR mastering peak of the incoming source is shown in the information menu, so the installer knows what the projector is being asked to reproduce.

INSTALLATION
Not every room lets the projector sit where the optics would prefer. The UltraNero 4S adds the control to fit the projector to the room instead of rebuilding the room around it, so it can be commissioned where a more rigid system would refuse. Freely adjustable image correction. Up to five installation setups saved on lens memory and recalled with a single command. Motorized zoom with horizontal and vertical lens shift. A new cooling algorithm keeps operating noise down while the projector works harder.
The more complex the installation, the more valuable that flexibility becomes.
Perfect HDR
SIM2 is the company with one of the longest and most qualified experiences in the field of HDR, both in flat monitors and in video projection, having started to work on HDR more than 13 years ago.
HDR processing is THE real revolution in video imaging and home cinema performance.
