SOME SENTENCES FROM THE REVIEW

Here below some sentences extracted  from the review for a quick read and to get a quicker feeling about the Ultranero4 performances

  • Large screen sizes and High Dynamic Range require a lot of light to create an exciting cinematic experience. The projector manufacturer Sim2 from Italy has recognized this and has brought a consistent further development of the Nero 4 to the market with the UltraNero4, which addresses this visual challenge.
  • the UltraNero 4 is surprisingly compact. The finish is in matte black to produce as little stray light as possible in a home cinema. …  it is astonishingly quiet.
  • the projector supports 3D playback, and it’s quite impressive.
  • The ANSI contrast reaches a best mark of 719:1, which is even above our rating scale.. The result is extraordinarily high-contrast bright images that are second to none.
  • HDR signals from 0.0 to 10,000 nits are reproduced by the UltraNero 4 within the scope of its performance from the dynamic tone-mapping. The illumination and color uniformity are outstanding at 98 percent. All measurable deviations are so small that they are below the perception threshold of 10 percent. Therefore, from the center to the edge, there is neither a drop in brightness nor a visible color shift.
  • With the first rays of light, the Sim2 UltraNero 4 provides a real “wow” experience. We have not yet experienced many home cinema projectors this bright with correct color representation.
  • it is refreshingly quiet; the large fans produce a sonorous, almost pleasant operating noise.
  • All input content is projected true to the original and without errors at 24, 50, and 60 Hz—just the way cinephiles love it.
  • The rainbow effect is only very rarely visible even to our trained eyes. …. We have never seen it less pronounced on any other single-chip DLP projector.
  • The finest details are tack-sharp right to the edge. Test images are consistently convincing.
  • Especially HDR films deliver a color splendor that even we don’t get to see every day. This includes the almost completely covered color gamut of the DCI-P3 spectrum in combination with over 6,000 lumens. … the performances of the King of Rock’n’Roll look breathtaking with the UltraNero 4. And in “Sully,” all elements up to 10,000 nits are present on the Times Square displays.
  • This is what HDR should look like!
  • We have never experienced such radiant brightness in a 3D film before. The image also impresses with its fantastic sharpness.
  • With the UltraNero 4, Sim2 presents an extraordinarily bright 4K projector with a long-lasting laser light source, great 3D performance, and excellent HDR display. It is suitable for bright living rooms as well as XXL screens in dark home cinemas—and easily lands in our reference class.
